Plum Elements

Charleston's Home For Artful Living

Home

Plum Elements is the culmination of 20 years practice and passion, inspired by three exclusive lines of handcrafted stoneware and porcelain from Japan, where proprietor Andrea Schenck once lived and worked. Building on the legacy of the kiln founded in 1845, today's works aspire to bring beauty to function and use to art. In addition to pottery, Plum Elements offers a unique collection of functional and visual art, as well as thoughtful items for mind, body, and home that come from down the street and around the globe.
"Song of the Ocean" silkscreen by Mayumi Oda. Our collection also includes woodblock prints, furniture, photography, jewelry, textile art and metal sculpture by other artists.
Stoneware Vase by Kanazawa Miwa, chief designer, at Maruoyaki. Contemporary functional and sculptural ceramics offered from Sueshi Masashi, Konomi Ryosuke and Maruoyaki.
"Gala" by Lisa M. Shimko. Shimko's works "An Apple A Day" on exhibit through January, 2008. She was selected as the Charleston Farmers Market artist. Our gallery space exhibits both featured guest artists as well as those regularly represented.
